The Inferno Room…
What a wild week that was.
For those of you who are unaware, I had the privilege to perform alongside my friend Makoto, at the Inferno Room, Enchanted Escape in December.
What is this Enchanted Escape? It’s a wildly fun whiskey tasting, premium drink having, bar experience in San Clemente, CA. The event started with a bar magician, Makoto, behind the bar performing his insane sleight of hand. I’ve known Makoto for years, and let me tell you he is the real deal. You know it’s going to be good when other magicians want to watch him work, that’s how good he is.
From there, people are ordering drinks, screaming at Makoto’s magic, and generally having a great time. Next comes a whiskey tasting hosted by the sommelier, Nancee. There’s four tastings, and a lot of laughs.
Then it was my turn to close out the night with an hour long comedy and magic show. It was amazing, and being back in CA was a good time. I was able to hang out with friends and eat my way through to multiple food comas. The best meal was either Japanese BBQ, or the Philippino food my boy Lauro brought us Sunday morning. Hadn’t eaten any of the things he brought, and now I crave them on the regular.
All in all, it was great magic, loads of laughs, and a ton of food.
Thank you Hubb, Nancee, and Inferno Bar for having me.
A Big Thank You to All of You…
Thank you to everyone who made 2022…
What a wild year 2022 has been. Well, actually, it started in 2021 and hasn’t stopped being wild.
In Dec of 2021 my wife and I uprooted our lives and left California, and moved to a small town just north of McKinney, Texas. From what I understand, quite a few California people have moved here, and frankly it’s been the best decision my wife and I have ever made.
However, moving didn’t come without it’s hurdles. For starters, moving meant that I had to walk away from my business of 10 years. It meant that I was going to start fresh, with zero contacts and zero leads. After over a decade of work, I was starting from scratch, again.
That’s where you come in. If you’re reading this, it most likely means I had the honor of performing my love of magic for you and your guests. And let me tell you, I genuinely mean it was an honor.
The reception I’ve received here in Texas is beyond anything I could’ve hoped for. All of you have been amazing and wonderful audiences. I’ve had some of the best and most fun shows I’ve ever done in my life. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with some amazing companies, entertaining your guests at your events.
So, from the depth of my heart, thank you. Thank you so much for your trust in me to deliver the highest level of entertainment possible. Thank you for your kind words, and all the reviews you amazing people have left me.
2023 is shaping up to be another wild year, and there are a few things I’ll be announcing throughout the year, including some ticketed shows in the DFW area.
Once again, thank you, to all of you. You helped make my restart incedible.
